The only saving grace here is that the game remains available in South Korea and still gets updated regularly over there. Given that Aika was largely dead in the West for the last few years, there's little chance any other publisher will pick up the game, especially since the developer itself is shutting down the global English service. While the game was never popular enough to field 2,000+ players on a single battlefield, it's still sad to see yet another MMORPG shut down, especially one that's been running since 2010. T3Fun announced last week that Aika Online, their PvP focused '1000 vs 1000' MMORPG will be shutting down on September 15, 2021.
